Training

Club training sessions will be held under the supervision of the training director once a month on the Friday evening before a weekend training seminar, weather and other circumstances permitting.  Dates will be announced as far in advance as is practicable.

Training Fees

When dogs are worked in protection there will be a $20 fee for the 1st dog/family, $15 for additional dogs. The fee for dogs of guests will be $30.  Training helpers do not pay fees. The fees will be paid to the club and used to replace equipment and offset the cost of maintaining the field and facilities.  At its sole discretion, the Board may waive the training fee in consideration of extraordinary contribution to the club.

Trials

Participation from all clubs members is necessary to host successful events. A member is expected to "pitch in" and help in the organization of and preparation for our trials.  A member who is not "trialing" is expected to be present during the trial to support the competitors and to help run the trial.

Sportsmanship

A member is expected to behave in such a way as to reflect well on our club and the sport of schutzhund at training, our trials, and at any other dog sport event he or she may attend.

Dues

Annual dues for 2004 are $100/individual, $140/family.

Acceptance and Liability Waiver

I wish to be a member of Rivanna Schutzhund and Police Club.  I have read and agree to abide by the rules of the club. I agree to hold Rivanna Schutzhund and Police Club, its members and all property owners HARMLESS for loss and injury allegedly caused directly or indirectly to any person or thing by the act of my dog. I hereby assume all responsibility for such claims.  I further relinquish all claims and agree to hold Rivanna Schutzhund and Police Club, its members and all property owners HARMLESS for loss or injury that may have been caused directly or indirectly to myself or my dog.
